About a week after we returned from our Christmas Market River Cruise holiday, my husband’s parents decided that we should all go on a Paul Gauguin cruise around the islands of French Polynesia. So, with the cruise was booked, we just had to figure out how to get there and back.
We decided we would use some of my husband’s Aeroplan points to get to the South Pacific. The best availability was to Melbourne. It was a little out of the way, but at least we were flying business class. We spent a few days in Melbourne, flew to Auckland to meet up with my husband’s parents and spend a couple days. Then the four of us were off to Tahiti, where we had a couple days before the cruise started. After the cruise, we had a quick overnight in Melbourne, then headed back home in time for Christmas.
